George R. Munzing Sr. Vietnam War veteran George R. Munzing Sr., 70, a 20-year resident of North Brunswick, N.J., died March 6, 2017, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. Visiting will be on Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen, N.J. There will be a 10 a.m. funeral service on Saturday at the funeral home with entombment following at Resurrection Mausoleum in Piscataway, N.J. George was born in Newark, N.J., to the late Joseph and Ruth, and had resided in Piscataway before North Brunswick. He worked as a pharmaceutical technician and machinist for many years for Ethicon in Bridgewater, N.J., before retiring three years ago. He also was an Army veteran, serving in the 25th Infantry during the Vietnam War. George was a life member of the VFW in North Brunswick Post 911 and also a member of the American Legion Post 261 in Piscataway. Surviving are his two sons, George Jr. and his wife, Cris of Piscataway; Jeffrey and his wife, Tina of Manalapan, N.J.; a brother, Ricky Pallitto of Maine, and three grandchildren, Nate, Victoria, and Christopher.
