78, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Aliquippa Community Hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh, son of the late Stanislaw & Sophia (Oleck) Olech. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Hopewell Twp., a retired employee of the PA National Guard where he worked as ground power maintenance supervisor, a member of U.S. Airforce Open Mess #1182, Mars Task Force Mountain Artillery Assoc., past PA State chairman & local President of Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT). Mr. Oleck was also a Veteran of WW II where he served in the U.S. Army, also a Veteran of the U.S. Airforce. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Margaret J. (Rishak) Oleck; one son and daughter-in-law and three daughters and two sons-in-law: Michael G. & Dr. Joanne Oleck, of Pgh, Peggy L. & Leon Wilkerson of Crystal Lake, IL, Shirley A. & Barry McHugh of Indianapolis, IN., Barbara M. Oleck of Bridgeville; six grandchildren: Jeffrey & Carol Wilkerson, Jeannine & Megan Wilkerson, Holly & Shane Leib, Bryan McHugh and Halley Oleck; two great-grandchildren: Sydney Lynne Wilkerson and Aidan Leib; one sister and brother-in-law: Delores and William Palmer. Friends will be received on Mon. 7-9 and Tues. 2-4 & 7-9 pm in the MASTROFRANCESCO FUNERAL HOME, 21st and McMinn Streets, Aliquippa, where Service will be conducted on Wed. at 9:30 am in the Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Findlay Twp. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations, if desired, be made in George's name to Good Samaritan Hospice, 3500 Brooktree Rd., Suite 200, Wexford, PA. 15090.
