I worked with George at Bill's Bookstore. He was a wonderful and kind man! May the Lord comfort you during this difficult time.

I only went on one adventure with George, He, John Roberts and I went to the St. Marks Wildlife Refuge in search of "Pottery Island". John and George had discovered the island out in the marsh when they were looking for "Salt Works" and had described it to me as being covered in broken Indian pottery. After they told me about it, I just had to see it for myself. So that was the adventure we were on and George was leading the way. After some searching we found the island and it was just as they had described. Someday maybe the archeologist will "do a dig" on the island and discover what the Indians were using this small island for, hundreds of years ago. When they do we can rename the island "George Parker Island". George, thanks for the adventure, I will never forget. Hope to see you again in the "Happy Hunting Grounds"

A few years ago George and Charlie spent a couple of days with me on the way to Tallahassee. He was one of the "boys" who were always scattered all over our living room floor with Van and the others. We went to "Cowtown" (Fort Worth), saw the cattle drive and ate Mexican food. It was a fun time sharing a lot of memories. I will miss that ole' guy and the photos of all his adventures. He met some interesting people along the way.. RIP George.

George was a true friend and a fine man. How I will miss him now as he left me too soon. So much more we needed to explore in Leon and Wakulla Counties, Florida. He used to tell me that all God's creations in the United States were beautiful, each section of the country, had its unique beauty and he loved them all. Rest in peace now dear friend.

I am so heartbroken to hear of George's passing. He was a good friend and I thought the world of him. We met at the Utah School of Massage Therapy almost 20 years ago and have stayed in touch ever since. I loved everything about him, from his sense of humor to his candid opinion about everything. Above all I loved his heart.
I will dearly miss his visits to Utah and our many chats either over a cold beer or a good cup of coffee. I'm sure he's already on another one of his adventures up in heaven.
Sending my love to you George...

P.S. If any friends out here in the West are planning an honorary memorial I would love to attend. :) Please contact me.

George has been a very good friend of ours for many years. He always had interesting and informative stories about his many adventures. We know when he got to heaven he had special seating - in the section for Honorable Men. We will miss him and are praying for peace for his sister, Barbara.
