George J. Pavan, 85, of Airmont, NY passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015. Beloved husband of Patricia for 61 years. Loving father of Roxanne Ciampi and her husband Frank, Thomas Pavan and his wife Patty, Georgann Gorlicki and her husband Joe, Toni-Anne Pavan, and Michael Pavan. Cherished grandfather of Kelly, Matthew, TJ, Amanda and DJ.
Born on April 3, 1930 in Manhattan, NY, to the late Isidoro and Palmira Pavan, he was predeceased by brothers James and Alfred.
Known to those close to him as "Biondo", he worked in the Mosaic and Terrazzo industry for over 45 years. He loved hunting and crabbing and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all those who loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
Friends and family are invited for visitation on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. Private cremation to follow.

Uncle George, In absence of my dad it was a comfort to know you were there always concerned for the well being of myself and my mom. It pleased me to know you were proud of how I grew up and turned out and I will miss you dearly.

Grandpa, I have loved you since I first met you as a baby, I always tell stories of how when I was a little girl I would sit on your lap while you and the whole family would play cards and in between the card games you would play got your nose with me. I will never forget the family dinners at your house and the best food I've ever tasted made by you. I will never forget all the holidays of laughs food family and a beautiful tree every year in the basement. I love you grandpa R.I.P. and fly with the angels.love always your first born grand daughter kelly.
