Time goes by, Antonia, and I am sure you still miss him. Hopefully the lives of Julian and Philippa will keep you busy and involved.

So many times I find myself laughing at something George Pavia said. I hold his memory dear in my heart, aside that of my parents. I hope that Antonia and all the children are well.

George's witty smile while peeping behind his reading glasses, his common sense advice, his friendliness, are fresh in my memory as if I had seen him in his office yesterday. Rest well George. For me you are still very much alive.

My condolences to Antonia and the rest of the family. George was a dear sweet man. I will always remember the great conversations we had when George would come to the gym where I worked with him.

I worked for Mr Pavia for 3 years. The sad news just reached Hong Kong where I live now. I will never forget him, I will always remember his humanity, humour, charisma and generosity. Arrivederci Mr Pavia, un abbraccio forte dalla sua romana.

George Pavia was my brother in law. He was the most amazing husband to my sister Antonia. He was a true friend to my parents in their later years providing them with excellent legal advice and friendship. It is thanks to his efforts that my parents lived such comfortable lives at the end . He was a repository of bad jokes and bawdy songs. We all groaned but now we miss it. He leaves behind a true family. A large brood of children and grandchildren who enliven my sister and have become wonderful people in the Pavia tradition. It is no surprise that dogs were attracted to him , possibly because there might be some morsel trapped in his beard. We thought it was his warmth that they could sense. George, good bye - I am truly comforted that you had a calm and easy end at home with Antonia.

My deepest condolences to Antonia, Alison and the rest of the family.
George was a dear friend of my parents and became a great friend to me. I have wonderful memories of times spent together. I so admired his great interest in art, clocks, everything beautiful, and his wonderful sense of humour. Sending love to his loved ones.

Back in 1972 I was appointed President of the Fiat US Representatve office in New York. Fresh from a similar job in in Tokyo, Japan, but totally new to the business ethic of the USA, I found in George Pavia a wise and supportive adviser, full of the local knowledge I so badly needed. Soon we became close friends, so much so that when, in 1986, I came back to the USA as President of Ferrari of North America, he continued for the length of my tenure to be my professional legal adviser and even closer personal counsellor. Such he will remain in my hearth for the rest of my days. Good bye, George. Emilio Anchisi

As Headmistress of La Scuola d’Italia in New York for nine years, I found in the Chairman of the Board George Pavia the perfect leader, a person of extraordinary intelligence, exceptional competence and profound humanity, a true friend. I felt and feel honored to have had the opportunity to work with him, and I have never forgotten how enriching this experience has been. I deeply mourn his loss. My profound and heartfelt sympathies go to his wife and family. Bianca Maria Goodrich

I knew George Pavia as the beloved dad of Alison, the admired father-in-law of Franz, and the cherished babo of Simone, Cecilia and Eleanor. Famous for his discerning way around a European antique store, his legal brilliance, and his bawdy limericks, George gave the world many gifts. For me, the most meaningful of these are four women without whom my world would not be the beautiful and loving place it is today. Thank you, George.
Yours,
