To the Petrisko family, I'm saddened to learn of George's passing. Although I never knew him, my dad, Sgt. T. Richard Patterson served with George in WWII. Dad always was fond of George, and the two of them always went to concerts together while stationed in Europe. Dad was assigned to Paris, and I believe he and George were together at Canisy FR (sp?). Dad has passed on, so I know he and George are together again going to another concert in Heaven. RIP George.

I have not seen my dear friend Nancy, or any of the Petriskos for many many years, and it was truly a suprise to see you all at Khalils on Wednesday after the viewing. I only wish it had been a happy occasion that brought you all together again here in Pittsburgh. My deepest sympathy to the Petrisko family on the passing of your beloved father and husband. May you feel comfort in knowing that he is with our resurrected Lord in a place of rest and repose, where there is no pain, suffering or sorrow. God give you strength. On behalf of the Khalil family, I extend our condolences, and please know our prayers are with you.

David: I just found out that your father passed away. I still remember him, even though it's been a such a long time, since growing up on Dawson Street. Please convey my condolences to your family.

Our hearts were sadden upon reading of George's passing. He was a good Christian person and lived as he believed. George and Helen were great neighbors of ours for over 30 years. They were almost like family. We rejoiced with them when their children were married and later when grandchildren came along. We also shared their sorrow when their oldest child, Janet, passed away. Now George is reunited with her in heaven. Our heartfelt sympathy to Helen, their children and grandchildren. May their hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times as they celebrate a life well-lived and loved. May God bless all of them.
