Just do not make doctors like him any more. Was an awesome person and great physician. He took such great care of my uncle and was so knowledgeable on his disease. This just went down hill for him after Dr. Petroff left Austin. Good Man.

Miss you terribly Dr. Petrpff! They do not make physicians/doctors like you any more. A very smart man, a smart physician, good natured and caring! Our medical system has been broken for some time, but it has gotten worse since the coronoviris. Hope you are in Heaven looking down and saying "Damn I'm glad I don't have to deal with this". Can not say it enough Austin lost a great physician. Nancy L Young

My uncle, Lawrence Goertz, was diagnosed by Dr. Petroff with a nasty disease, myastina gravis (sp) years ago. Dr. Petroff pretty much diagnosed him on the first visit. Dr. Petroff was smart, kind, gentle and took a personal interest in my uncle. My uncle no longer drives in Austin. So, I am his care taker. We have so much respect for this man. This disease can be pretty nasty, but under Dr. Petroff's care my uncle has been doing great this past 7+ years. We have so much faith in this man. They do not make doctors like this any more. I am so sorry that ya'll have lost this wonderful, man, doctor, husband, father, etc. He sure has left his mark in this world. What a shame, gone way to soon. He had so much more to give. Dr. Petroff was one of my favorite doctors I've worked for. He was gentle and kind and I looked forward to seeing him everyday. My heart aches to hear of his passing. I'll be praying for his wife and kids.
