So sorry to learn of the passing of George Repass. George and I were classmates and graduated together from Cathedral High School in Indianapolis. It was uplifting reading about George's career in Catholic education. We were friends and worked together as editors of the school newspaper and the Indianapolis "Teen" Star. What I remember most about George was his brilliant editorial writing and very strong social-political viewpoints - even when fairly young. Rest in Peace,George. Joe Hill (Cathedral High School, '64)

Mr. Repass was a fantastic history teacher and the homeroom teacher for senior boys. We broke him in, and he put up with us.

George was a pleasure to know. Our two sons attended BMHS and George became a good friend whose compassionate heart and love of the Lord was an example to all those he met. We wish his family and friends peace and comfort as they mourn their loss. He will live on in the hearts of many with the special memories that were made. We will miss him.

RIP Mr. Repass. As one of your students from the old days (class of 78, Pallotti HS), I will always recall you with a smile on my face and a huge amount of respect. You knew how to get through. You wrote in my class book in 1978 that you hoped life would be very good to me....and to make you proud. I cannot complain about the former, and can only hope in the latter I lived up to your expectations. You will be missed.

George's passing has left a hole in the heart of my whole family. The only consolation is the wonderful, fun, heartwarming times we had together over 51 years.

May perpetual light shine upon Mr. George L. Repass. He was a mentor, my anthropology teacher, my high school principal, a pillar of reason and wisdom, a friend and truly a decent man. I greatly benefitted from George being in my life. My deepest sympathy to his family, students and friends who knew and loved him.

Well done, George, servant of the Lord. When you hired me as "the School Secretary" in 1991 I had no idea what that meant. To spend the next 15 years watching Bishop McGuinness grow was an inspiration. I admired your dedication as an educator, your commanding intellect, and your off-beat sense of humor. The students always came first. One of the Georgisims that always made me laugh was, when something went wrong you would always say, "If it's not going to hair-lip the world, forget it!" Rest in peace, my friend. Many mourn your passing.

Deepest sympathy to the Repass family. George was a great man who expected the best from himself and his students. He treated all with respect and earned the everlasting admiration of students. We are grateful that he dedicated himself to Christ and his students. Thousands are better for knowing him.

Thank you George for being a great friend to me and supporter of the performing arts at BMHS. Your praises of the student actors and shows always gave the program that extra boost to keep us going! How appropriate that our performance of 'Its a Wonderful Life" starring a guy named 'george' will be dedicated to you. Rest in peace.

Mr. Repass was a respected teacher, a great person who instilled in us his love of history and his faith. He taught with passion and humor ~ his first class teaching was 40 Freshman at Pallotti ~ we remember him well; and he remembered us. My sincerest condolences to his family, and the Bishop McGuinnes family. Mr. Repass is missed.

What a hole the passing of George has left in the past, present, and even future Bishop Community. Mr. Repass was a light of that school and truly cared for each and every student. We are so honored to have had him "Teach" our 4 sons-I say teach because he helped them be the men they are today with his faith, commitment, work ethic, and the way he believed in their potential. We will truly miss you!

It was an honor to work with a man of such a high caliber. His dedication to the Bishop McGuinness faculty and staff was outstanding. However, his dedication to the students of the school will be his real legacy. He fulfilled the motto of the school - He excelled so that he could better serve.
He will be missed.

My deepest condolences to the Repass family. I've known George for 10 + years singing in the St. Leo Choir, he was a constant, unwavering presents. I will miss him here on earth, but I know I will see him again and be able to enjoy his humor once again. Godspeed George on your journey to heaven.
