George Edward Romero February 20, 1935 - August 22, 2017 Vista Mr. George Edward Romero died peacefully in his sleep on August 22, 2017 in Escondido, CA, at the age of 82. George is survived by his daughter, Janet (John) Robinson of Vista, CA, son, Robert (Diana) Johnson of Oceanside, CA, daughter, Lisa (Doug) Newark of Murrieta, CA, son, Raymond Romero of Escondido, CA, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 9 sisters and their families, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents and 3 sisters. George was born on Feb. 20, 1935 in San Diego, CA, to Edward and Ruby Romero. He was the oldest of 13. He went to school in Vista. He worked as an automotive and industrial painter for most of his life. He lived in the Vista area for about 70 of his 82 years. A Mass is scheduled for Sept. 15, 2017 at 3 p.m at St. Francis of Assisi in Vista, CA, with a reception to follow at the QLN Conference Center at 1938 Avenida del Oro, Oceanside, CA.
