I know you have been gone for a few years now dad, but I miss you now more than ever and could really use some advice. I will always remember the things you said to me when I needed them the most, and I hear my children say that I am acting and saying things just like you. I know you will forever be with me, in my heart and always on my mind. Please enjoy yourself up in heaven, I am sure you have plenty of friends up there that were waiting for you as well. Dad, Its been too long since I have seen your smile, or heard your jokes, but today I wanted to tell you Happy Father's Day! You were the best father anyone could ask for. You provided so much for us children as we grew up and I guess we always thought you would be there. I know you're not here now but I know you always hear me when I am talking to you and asking for advice. I never got to really show you the things I wanted to show you or say to you the things I needed to say you before you left and I have never wept for you the way I should've so I guess that's why it's so hard today to take on each day knowing that your not here anymore to share a joke, a smile or just sit and talk about the past. I miss your stories of yesterday, as I drive everyday across the damn over Lake Springfield as I'm leaving home, I am reminded of all the days we spent as a family on the water skiing,fishing and just running around. I know you have heard me a thousand times but I will say it one more time........I wish you were here.
