I was a sixth grade student of him at Pinehurst. I remember him as exceptional. Taught more than the book. Shared his humanity. I remember him sharing his excitement with us about adopting a son. He was a male role model for me as I grew up in a single parent home on welfare. He taught us to respect everyone no matter of their station in life. He made science fun and lead me to earning a degree in Chemical Engineering and a long career in the oil industry. I still have a stamp album that he gave me to encourage me to start collecting and to learn about the world and history. Inspirational teacher.

Dear Sally, You both were so inspiring to me when I always saw you & George at the outdoor music venues and both of you dancing all the time! I so enjoyed watching you both have so much fun & non-stop energy! And I always enjoyed our conversations. God blessed you and George in so many ways, as you know.

One of my favorite teachers! Toad! So many fun and pressure in 6th grade! All the notecards with studies on famous dead men. Hammurabi! Holding mercury in hand. Stamp collecting, missed the walk down in the creek because I was in Florida. Remember Tammy Shannon memorizing and enthusiastically reciting a poem! May you rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences for Mr. Todaro's passing. I was one of his students at Pinehurst Elementary in the sixth grade. He made every single day in class interesting. I spoke of him many times over the years. I still recall lessons he taught. Hand making a spaceship for a play, learning about politics, a fieldtrip to his house in which we climbed down the cliff to 18-mile creek in search of fossils. He was certainly a one in a million teacher. He was my all-time favorite. I am truly sorry for your loss. He was a very special man indeed.

George was a good friend who'll be missed greatly. He had a remarkable life and was one of the kindest and most loving person. His worth is measured in the tributes others now pay him. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Mr. Todaro was my elementary school teacher at Pinehurst Elementary School. He was a kind, fun, caring teacher. He started a Stamp Collecting Club and took the club members to different shops to purchase old stamps for their stamp collections. I have often thought of him over the years and often wondered how he was doing, and have such fond memories of him teaching class and helping us with our stamp collections. He was a very nice person. Thank you Mr. Todaro for being such a great teacher and stamp club mentor. My sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in eternal peace.
