George Tyson Obituary
George lived in Savannah and graduated from Savannah High School. He attended LaGrange College and Armstrong State College.
George worked in financing at TranSouth Financial, Commercial Credit, Darby Bank and Ameris Bank. He later started IRIS Home Inspections.
George was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Tyson, and his brother Greg Tyson.
George is survived by his children, Russell Tyson and Erin Tyson Martell (Joe). His brothers, Spencer (Donna) and Mike (April), sister-in-law, Joyce and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service and burial will be private.
Remembrances may be made to The Ronald McDonald House of the Coastal Empire.

God bless George´s family, most especially his beautiful children Russ and Erin, who were his life!
There was and is not a better father than George. I treasured the time we spent together coaching both soccer and baseball in our children´s younger years. Watching Russ, Erin and my two (Andrew and Olivia) grow up healthy and happy, with George and Beth was a great pleasure.
I offer all my continued prayers for the repose of George, may he rest in peace and may his children and his entire family find consolation in our Lord Jesus.

Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. George was a great person to work with. Always cutting up. He was thoughtful enough to bring me a care package of magazines, snacks, etc when I had to spend a month in the hospital. Special guy. He will be missed. Rest in peace

Beth, Erin and Russ, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I'm so sad to hear of George's passing. We worked together at Darby Bank for 10+years. My fondness memory is that every year, he'd bring all Beth's Christmas presents to the bank and I'd wrap them so she didn't see them and bringing you kids to the bank in Friday, heading to a Georgia game. Rest easy George, fly high and rest in peace friend. Patti
