Before I add our memories of George, I would like to thank you, Ann Marie, for the lovely celebration of life you provided for you Dad. He is so proud of you. And thank you for including us in the celebration. Ken and I probably knew George for a shorter time than anyone else at the service although we were blessed with getting to spend time with him almost every day during lunch at the Senior Center for over a year. He was just beginning his decline, a bit confused but still very much a joy. I was asked if we could have your Dad sit with us during lunch and of course we were delighted. It provided some consistency and company for him. And you are right, you do have his smile. And those blue eyes that twinkled and his laugh. His decline was fairly rapid unfortunately, and it became more difficult to understand and follow his conversations. Not that it mattered. We listened, tried to see that he ate and that he was among friends for awhile each day that he was there. We were blessed to have spent the short time we had with him. God Bless you and your family. I know George is doing just fine now, probably making sure that communications are flowing smoothly between heaven and earth.

Our prayers are with you Ann Marie,

Your dad was one-of-a-kind! I always enjoyed spending time with him and learned something new with each visit. He was rightfully proud of his many accomplishments, but particularly proud of you. I can see him now with that trademark grin as he 'showed off' his daughter on one of your visits back to Brenham. I appreciated getting to know you and I am thankful that he had you in his life. His was not always an easy path but you made it a more enjoyable one. (73!)

I want to express my condolences to George's family. I have known George for closed to 40 years. He was good friend, and I always wanted to help, and I have enjoyed the time visiting with him over the many years. Some time he would just drop by to share an idea.
I will miss him because he was a dear friend.

I first met George just a few years ago. We quickly became friends and I will always remember his welcoming smile. I think about him often and know that he will be missed by many.

Yes, always a warm smile! The picture with the ice cream cone is so typical! W5TZ was a good friend and a ham buddy, a blessing in our community, and a defender of his country. I know that he was constant in his desire to express his faith-life. "Thanks be to God who has given us the victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ our Lord." (paraphrase 1 Corinthians 15:57)

Bill was a great friend for many years. I always enjoyed working with him on Amateur Radio Repeaters in the Brenham area. He was always there to help in any way he could.

Great friend from when he first came to Brenham and all the Jeep rides we shared. You were a blessing to all that knew you.
