to George's family: I would like to extend my sincere condolences. I knew George and his family when he was a boy in Oakham. Often I would see him at the "beach". He did love to swim. George always had a smile and that's what I'll remember most about him.

It is with great sadness that I hear of Georges passing. I had him on my little league team, and watched him grow up to be a fine young man.RIP.

My Condolences go's out to the family He was always good to me I will love him and miss him My heart goes out to the family. I remember him taking us camping when I was young or him coming to my house when my son was born. The World needs more people like him because I would not be the man that I am if I didn't have him in my life. Just The talks we had changed my life. My God Bless you all. In the 80's I was punk kid who hung out on the common. George was ALWAYS so kind and quietly protective of us. He is one of my favorite people because, one night downtown, my friend and I were jumped by a group of people. George was the one who came to the call, then he came to where I worked to support me and help me ID the people. He was such a loving presence for all of us. Rest in peace.

George was a great cop. Back in the 80's he was always good to us kids. He made sure to say hello ask if you where ok..
George didn't mess around.. We all respected him. He would always say " im going to tell you once" and give you a warning. We all knew we got 1 shot with George..lol but he was fair and honestly cared. Sad to know he didn't have a long happy retirement. He certainly deserved one...

My fondest memories of Sgt. Wells was hearing him say Footbeat one I am in pursuit of Mass Reg........heading north on Main St. He always got them! Rest In Peace George. Sorry for your loss Lisa.

I worked with George until I retired in 2000. He was a good man and a dedicated cop. I'm sure he will be greatly missed.

He spoke highly of his grandfather and all of the many things he learned from him. I know George will live in all of you with the wonderful memories and love you all have of him.
