Rochester: Died suddenly on September 5, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Julian Z. Smith; son, Jared Z. Smith; mother, Doris Cardenas; sister, Mercedes (Ramondo) Wilkinson; nephews, Barak Cardenas of Bronxville, NY, Keith (Elizabeth) Cardenas of New Windsor, NY; niece, Hilda Cardenas of Newburgh, NY, and mother-in-law Annie (Thomas) Smith of Buffalo, NY. Lorri is predeceased by her father, Pedro Cardenas; brother, Andre (Hilda) Cardenas and sister, Emy Cardenas.

Friends may call Saturday, September 10th, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home, Greece Chapel, 1075 Long Pond Road, Rochester, New York 14626. Her Service will be held Sunday, September 11th, 7PM at Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 272 Farrell Rd. Extension, W. Henrietta, NY 14586. Interment will be held privately in New York City. Contributions may be made to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn 11201-2483. Julian & Jared,

The services for Lorri were beautiful; you highlighted her life very well.

Our hearts continue to be heavy as the surreality of the past weeks become our sad reality. I pray that you both continue to seek Jehovah for comfort and understanding during this very, very difficult time.

I pray that as each day passes, your sorrow is replaced with smiles of joy from memories of Lorri.

We will hold Lorri's memory close to our hearts; she was truly loved and will be missed greatly.

I am so deeply sorry about Lorri. Words cannot express how sad I am. She was lovely person. Her kindness and giving spirit was sort of joy like that of Dorcas. We will miss her very much. We anxiously awaits her return, until then we pray that Jehovah be with you both.

Lorri is missed so much. She was always a bubbly person, and this helped bring a smile to many during their saddest times. She was a model Christian wife; many of us newly-married women have learned from the way she carried herself as well as how she supported her husband and cared for her family. I await the day to welcome her back to our "worldwide family."

Until then, may Jehovah continue to be a "strong arm" for her husband and soul mate, Julian, and loving son, Jared.
