To Mrs. Whitehead, Paul, Ken, Andrew and Tim,

We share your sorrow in the loss of Ray, a life long friend. So many happy memories remain of our times and adventures together, our reunions, and most recently vacations in Mexico, especially when we gathered to celebrate Ray's 65th birthday. Ray took special delight that though life took us all down different paths, we remained in touch over the years.

To Kathy Watkins,

You were Ray's devoted and caring companion. Your tireless encouragement and positive attitude helped sustain him through his arduous battle. We know you will cherish the wonderful times you shared together and take comfort in those memories.

Ray will be very sadly missed by all who knew him. He was a very kind and thoughtful friend. His sense of humour was absolutely wonderful and we are sure everyone who met him loved him as we did. We were friends from Legion 263 for several years. Our deepest sympathy to all of you at this very sad time.

I am so sorry my very good friend and fellow co-worker in Ontario has passed away.Ray and I go back a lot of years. I met and worked with Ray when he first came to Ontario many years ago and we maintained our friendship and we had so many good times together. I am going to Vancouver for the service and celebration of his life at the legion in Coquitlam.

Remembering Uncle Raymond

Although we have never met, I feel the connection through Grandma, Kenny and Paul. Our brief conversations on the phone meant so much...more than words can say. You will be sadly missed and always in our hearts. My thoughts and deepest sympathy to all the family.

Love Anne, Eleanor's Daughter.

To Edith, Paul and Ken; his children Andrew and Tim and their families and extended family (Kathy, Keri Rob and Kathy). We are so very sorry for the very sad loss of Ray; we remember Ray, a very good friend of Jack Bates (and we his sisters Joyce and Marilyn) have many fond memories of our days going to school and growing up in Esquimalt. Those days form some of the most memorable childhoods as Ray was one of Jack's gang who came to Mum and Dad's house.
With warmest sympathy from:
Joyce and Marilyn Bates
