The Wittman Family,

It is with the utmost regret that I send my condolences to the family of the late George Wittman. He was a kind and thoughtful person and showed an incredible amount of respect to his coworkers. It was a pleasure to work with him and talk to him, and his integrity and his presence on Chatham's campus will surely be missed.

To the Wittmans:

It's hard to believe that we've lost another wonderful person. GM you always had a kind word and a smile for everyone you met. We were blessed to know you since we were little kids and you always made us laugh even when you yelled at us for giving up a point to the other team because we were talking and you were trying to win the game. You were the best volleyball captain and we always enjoyed our time on Tuesday and Friday nights at Phillips, Ormsby, the Market House or 12th Street Park. You were always determined that we would have somewhere to play. We waited for the call from you each week because you wanted to make sure that we were coming and reminded us to be on time! G you were even able to convince my mom, Marlene to play even though she kept telling you she was too old. You didn't want to hear it!! So, she left all her cleaning and joined in the fun and I know that she treasures those memories. Throughout our lives you and your family were there to celebrate the happy times with us and you showed you cared during the difficult times. We'll treasure your friendship forever and we feel a little better that you are now at peace and not afraid and you have your dad and brother Ray with you. Thanks for all the good times and for being one of the "good guys" in South Side. May your family hold dear all the wonderful memories that you gave them during your short time here. You were a wonderful husband, dad, son, brother, uncle and friend and we'll all miss you!! With our love and prayers always....

Wittmans,

I wish I could be there with you guys now. Uncle G will be loved and missed by all of us. The wounds from Uncle Ray's passing are just starting to heel and now Uncle G has gone. The Lord works in mysterious ways without explanations. I want to let you all know that it has been a great honor for me to be like a second family to all of you. Lee, Jess, & Steph,

I can't believe I have to sit and write a condolence to you guys. It seems like yesterday I was a little girl hanging out at your place and at the pool. New Year's Eve was a favorite time for me because of all of you. GM was like a second dad to me growing up, and even know I'm all grown up with a family of my own all of you were like a second family to me. I am gonna miss him so much. His bubbly sense of humor and all of his practical little tricks. Please keep in touch with me. I would love for you to meet my family. And after now losing GM I really don't want to lose the rest of you too.

I just want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I can remember like it was yesterday being at Pymatuning with all of you during the summers, especially golfing, fishing, playing horse shoes and just spending time with your dad. GM was awesome and he will always be in my heart. There is one thing that I will always remember about G and that’s his laugh man was that an infectious laugh. I just want to say thanks to G for being a part of my childhood.

Love,

I'm so sorry to hear about GM's Passing. It was such a shock. Just seeing him a couple weeks ago, good as can be, screaming 'Hey Megaton'. I will miss him so much. Growing up with all of you in my life was such a pleasure, and having GM there was awesome. He is and will always be an amazing person and will live on in my heart forever. All the child hood memories down the park, at Phillips school for volleyball, and him teaching me how to ride a 2 wheel bike. I can't believe he is gone.

I will miss him, and so will the Moucheron Family, and my Mom Linda (Pic)

The passing of Ray was such a shock, and when I heard that GM had passed, I was speechless. I didn't know what to do. May him and Ray watch over you Lee, and the Girls that he loved so much.

I will miss you "G"

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
