I only played softball with George on some certain Sundays at Bryan Park but who he was, heart and soul, shown through instantly and always. One of that rare breed that infuses everything with love, warmth and grace. Smile on Big George!

I got to play softball with George the last couple of years and in that short time, he made an impression. Never saw him without a smile on his face and such a personality. Prayers for all his family and friends. He will be deeply missed

George, I remember meeting you on my first day at LWB. You told me about your daughter Nova, and how sweet she was. Later that week, I struggled to throw plywood into a dumpster, and even though you were already off the clock, you came over to help. You told me you remembered what it felt like to be new.
That kindness never changed. Throughout the years we worked together, you were always there to lend a hand, share a laugh, or teach me something new. When I mentioned I was trying to re-plaster my walls, you didn´t hesitate to help-in exchange for pizza and beers on my porch, of course. The summer I attempted to play softball with your team, even though I wasn´t any good, you were always encouraging.
You were more than a coworker to everyone at LWB-you were a friend. I´m so sorry for your family´s loss, and for Nova, but I know your kindness and generosity will live on in all of us lucky enough to have known you.

George was so loved and cherished by our family here in the Sutherlin household. Our children always looked forward to visits from George and reveled in giving him high fives, huge hugs, and drawing him silly pictures. Even our dogs, Marzipan and Chavo, adored George, whose energy brought an aire of calmness to our chaotic household. When we needed a helping hand or a listening ear, George was always there. In George, Cody had a beloved friend, and I had the privilege of witnessing their love and camaraderie, which only comes from a friendship that has lasted the test of time.
Losing George is a painful shock that will change our lives forever. We will always remember and love George, and will honor him by living life to the fullest, loving the people around us, and valuing kindness and humor above all else.
We love and miss you
