Matina,

I am so deeply sorry to you and your family, for your loss of Georges. Since we last spoke, I had thought about you and his challenges many times. Beautiful obituary and a wonderful tribute to his name. May you find peace in the days ahead.

Matina, Thanasi and Yiannis I am so sorry for you loss. George was such an amazing person and I am very sad to hear of his passing. I loved being around George and chatting about life, travel, engineering, or politics (in this case debating)! From a young age he showed a lot of interest in me and believed in me as a young engineer. This truly had a confidence building impact on me early on in my career, at a time when I needed that support. I am forever grateful for the relationship I had with him. My deepest condolences.

My dearest Matina,
What words do I say that can comfort you through this difficult time? Tasso and I send our deepest sympathies.
Though we haven´t spoken for a while, I feel the need to reach out to you. Maybe because of the past with our families. Maybe because of the boys. Maybe because of my upmost respect for George. Our families shared wonderful times together. This I will always cherish. Truly glad that he was in our lives. He will be missed.
Our sincere condolences to you and entire family.
May his memory be eternal.

Although we didn't know Georges for a long time, we became good friends and neighbours. He, and his wife Matina, are very kind people. He talked about Greece on many occasions, as he was very proud of his homeland. We feel honoured to have known Georges. He passed on a wealth of knowledge to everyone he met. Our thoughts and prayers are with Matina, Yiannis and Thanasi, and the whole family at this sad time. May Georges Rest in Peace.

Tasso and I send, to you and the boys, our deepest sympathies.
Ntina gave me a telephone number. I´ve picked up the phone several times but can´t seem to find the right words.
Though we haven´t spoken for a while, I do feel the need to reach out to you. Maybe because of our past. Maybe because of the boys. Maybe because of my upmost respect for George. Georges: I remember the first time we met in the summer of 1996. When I stepped of The Athens Metro you greeted me with open arms and love. Since that moment, you´ve inspired me to be the best I can be, even now. Thank you for introducing me to your family and welcoming me. You´ll be missed. Thank you for making this world a better place. Efcharistó!
