Georgette MOUSSA Obituary
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Georgette Moussa, 50, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Ottawa General Hospital. She was surrounded by members of her family and closest friends. Georgette was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was a kind soul with a big heart and a smile that lights up a room. To know Georgette is to have loved her. She was a role model of strength and determination. A self-proclaimed soccer mom, Georgette devoted her life to the care of her family. She loved and was loved back. She will be missed by so many, but her impact and memory will never be forgotten. Georgette is survived by her husband Naim, her children Dylan and Selena, father Georges, mother Karimeh, her sisters Jamal Najem (Jean Lteif), Maggie Najm (Abdo Bazerly), her brother Charbel Najm, nephew and niece Jad and Jenna Lteif, as well as many of Naim's nephews and nieces. Her wonderful spirit, joy, and talents will be celebrated from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, December 30. Funeral Service at 12 noon on Saturday, December 31 at Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery. Cremation to follow.

Dearest Nim and family our sincere condolences, we did not know Georgette had passed away until I googled her name last night (Nov.2'17). She was an amazing soul and she will be greatly missed. Dear Nim and family We are so sorry to hear of Georgette's passing. We read her death notice and it described Georgette so acurately. She always touched us and was such an inspiration to us with her strength and courage to fight for everything and to not give up. Unfortunately we did not know Georgette as a personal friend but with the short communications with her when she brought Gizmo to us she touched us so deeply. What I have come to realise in the very short time that I have known Georgette is that I am extremely blessed to have met her. I wish I could refer to her as a close friend but I was not lucky enough to have had the time and experience with her to make that claim. What I know is that I met an incredible strong, courageous, warm and caring woman who I will never forget. To Naim, Selena, Dylan, close friends and family, we are deeply sorry for your loss. I will always remember her on the sidelines cheering on the team with her beautiful smile and encouraging words.

Georgette, I didn't know you very well but I did know how full of life and love you were. It deeply saddens us to see you gone and we are at a loss for words to express our regrets. We loved you for who you were and your legacy will live on through your children and loving husband Naim. Rest in God's arms for surely you have His reward.
