Georgia "Jo" Colleen Mills Haddock, 93, of Pampa, went peacefully to her heavenly home on Friday, September 8, 2023.

Services will be 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Jamisen Hancock, pastor of Briarwood Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Georgia was born in Loco, Oklahoma on June 18, 1930 to Roy B. and Fern Mills. She attended several schools in the Duncan, Oklahoma area and graduated from El Reno High School in El Reno, Oklahoma in 1948. She married Donald Eugene Haddock in El Reno in 1949 and was a homemaker all her married life. Don was pastor of several churches early on and being a pastor’s wife, she moved with him a lot.

Georgia made lots of baby quilts for families and friends throughout the years. She was also a good cook and was known to make a large dish of her chicken enchiladas and take them to families to enjoy. She was famous for her biscuits and homemade sausage gravy. It was a favorite of many throughout the years. Georgia also loved playing games with family. She especially loved puzzles and word games.

Georgia and Don had five children, Ken Haddock (1951), Patti Brunen (1954), Michael Haddock (1960), Greg Haddock (1961), and Angela Haddock (1964).

She went through chemo for cancer in 2018 and beat it. Her health declined and she moved to Pampa Nursing Center in July 2021. She then moved to McLean Care Center in August 2022. There she was loved by many and received excellent care. Then, her cancer returned, and her health began to decline rapidly.

Georgia was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; and son, Michael.

She is survived by her children, Ken Haddock and wife Linda of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Patti Brunen and husband Ted of Donalsonville, Georgia, Greg and wife Jacque of Pampa, and Angela Haddock of Arkansas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
