Gerald Babin Obituary
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 22, from 6-9 p.m. at Ordoyne Funeral Home and on Wednesday, May 23, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church from 8 a.m. until service time. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. at the church, with burial following in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Geraldine Ledet Babin; children, Monica Parks (Robert), Christine Carrier (Kenneth), Mona Toups (Royal), Troy Babin (Michele), Angela Babin, Valerie Andras (Neston Jr.), Claudia Landry (Terry), and Kevin Babin (Tracy); 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Gladys Detillier and Joann Windham; and brother, Alfred Babin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix Babin Jr. and Valerie Foret Babin; sister, Anna Lee Richard; brother, Clarence Babin; and son-in-law, David Bourgeois.
Ordoyne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Papa, you are a huge part of the reason I had an awesomeness childhood. I truly believe you would have given your grandkids the world if you could. You always put us first and wanted us to be happy. I have so many memories to treasure. The sleepovers at your house, going to garage sales, trying to open a petting zoo, and you coming to UL with me to move me into my dorm the very first time I left for college. I love you so much and miss you! Watch over us please!
