Retired US Air Force Colonel Gerald E. Bond, aged 93, passed away peacefully in Fort Worth, Texas on August 15, 2025.

The son of Russell and Irene Bond, Jerry was born on June 2,1932 in South Bend, Washington. He spent his youth in Seattle, graduating from the University of Washington in 1955 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation from college, Jerry was commissioned into the US Air Force, where he served as a helicopter pilot, fixed wing pilot and civil engineer for 28 years. Post military, he worked as the Associate Director of the Physical Plant at the University of Texas at Arlington for another 17 years.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Arlene, Sons: Michael and wife Johnnie of Baton Rouge, Steven and wife Heather of Fort Worth, Christopher and wife Megan of Dallas, and Jeffrey and wife Tory of Denver. Grandchildren: Ryan, Blakeley, Ian, Quinn, Ryder, Grace, Cullen, Arlie and Maxwell.



Internment, with military honors, will be at the DFW National Cemetery on October 24, 2025 at 2:15 PM.
