Gerald was my best friend during my eight years at Christ the King.He had the greatest sense of humor and taught me how important it is to read. We would go out to the bookmobile together every week.I know that I will see you again on the other side.

A year, a great basketball game, or even a nostalgic Bball moment rarely passes without a brief flicker, or reflection of our old friend & colleague, Gerald Couzens. "G" represented only the most positive memories of collaboration, competition, and friendship. The Septuagenarian s from the Run Will always miss you, Big Fella´!

I've known Gerald since we became neighbors as children.
We had lots of fun, together with his brothers and our other neighbors. Realistic water pistols, cap guns, snow sleds, touch football & hoops.
His dry wit brought many smiles.

I saw Gerald a few times at Coburn family functions, most recently this past March. From the first time we met he always made a point of saying hello and chatting - I remember his very quick wit and his interest in others. My thoughts are with his family and friends at the loss of a great person.

To have known Uncle Gerald was to have loved him. His presence made any gathering feel special and any conversation, important.

He was an intelligent and thoughtful person, and a true family man.

His tall, Couzens-esque stature in life is fittingly proportionate to the void we feel in our hearts at his death.

We hope and pray that some solace may be found in the many fond and cherished memories which will stay with us always.

I will really miss having long conversations with Gerald (my second cousin) while floating in Cape Cod Bay. It was always such a pleasure to talk to him, he was so knowledgeable, helpful and fun to talk to. My sympathy to all of the Couzens cousins at this very sad time.

Although Gerald is no longer here physically, his soul will live on through the love of his family and friends. May peace be delivered to you from the love of God. Teri Frevert

To the Couzens Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Gerald Couzens was a wonderful human being. I am deeply saddened by his passing. We played basketball as competitors and team mates during high school. He was a gentleman both on and off the court.

Gerry and I went to Christ The King grade school and then onto Sacred Heart HS. After graduation I saw him only one more time. Couz and I were pretty good fiends during those youthful years. Enjoy your eternal reward my friend.

I was lucky enough to know Gerald for 48 years. His wisdom and perspectives concerning subjects ranging from cutting edge medical & scientific findings, to mundane basketball trivia, never failed to impress and amuse his many loyal friends, colleagues & teammates. "Big G" was simply the finest, the most sincere, generous and loving man ... I have ever known.
A la prochaine, cher ami.
