Gerald Crowley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 22, 2024.
It is with both sorrow and joy that we announce the passing of Gerald James Crowley, a man who lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and unwavering faith. Born on February 21, 1937 in Orange, New Jersey, Jerry passed away peacefully at Lehigh Valley Hospital on December 19th 2024, surrounded by loved ones.

A successful inventor, chef, and businessman, Jerry was always tinkering with new ideas, with a spark of genius and sometimes even a touch of madness. First and foremost, Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He cherished his family above all else, and his love for them was boundless. As a father, he imparted wisdom, humor, and a sense of adventure to his children, often taking them on memorable journeys. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he took immense delight in sharing stories, lessons, and mischief with them.

His tales of adventure-often exaggerated for effect-were legendary, and he had a remarkable ability to turn every experience into a story that would make you laugh, cry, or sometimes scratch your head in disbelief.

Through all the highs and lows, Jerry remained grounded in his faith. A proud Irishman and God-fearing man, he lived with a deep sense of gratitude and humility. His belief in family, community, and the power of kindness guided him through his life's many twists and turns.

Jerry leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and invention. He is survived by his wife, Bea, children, Dawn, Teresa, Jonathan, and Bryan, grandchildren, Shawn, Baylee, Cody, Shelby, Starr, and Shaylee, great grandchildren Naomi and Kai, and his brother John, along with countless friends. He was predeceased by his son Patrick, grandson Sammy and great grandson Callum, along with siblings Daniel and Patricia. His memory will live on in the stories he told, the inventions he created, and the lives he touched.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, SD, a cause that was dear to Jerry's heart.

May he rest in peace, and may his adventurous spirit live on in all of us.
