Gerald Deldin Obituary
Born on April 16, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, Jerry was a lifelong resident of St. Clair Shores. He graduated from Lake Shore High School in 1952 and was a proud member of the 1950 Bi-County champion football team. His dedication and strong work ethic led him to a career as a machinist at Carboloy in Warren, Michigan. Even after retirement, he remained active by doing small brick repair work.
Jerry shared 61 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Jean, before her passing. He is survived by his six children: Cynthia Deldin; Mark(Catherine) Deldin; James(Linda)Deldin; Teresa (Dwayne) Davis; Lori (Joe) Ferrara; and Sherri (Don) Zube. His legacy continues through his 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Carol Carroll and Patricia Weber, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Sr. and Frances; his brother Victor Jr.; his brother-in-law Tom Weber; and his sister-in-law Alice Weber.
Jerry found joy in simple pleasures-he enjoyed trying his luck with lottery tickets and visiting the casino. He also enjoyed watching NFL football, spending time with family, playing cards with friends, gardening and reading, pursuits that brought him both relaxation and fulfillment throughout his life.
His memory and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. A celebration of life is being arranged at a date to be determined.
