Gerald Doerr Obituary
Gerald W. Doerr, 89, of Delray Beach and formerly of Detroit, MI passed away peacefully at home on February 7, 2023. Jerry retired from Chrysler Corp/General Dynamics after over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Virginia, daughters Debra Ann Phillippi and Kristin Nagy, brother Robert Doerr, and 3 grandchildren John, Julia & Sarah. Jerry was predeceased by his brother Donald Doerr.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 17, 2023, 10:00am at St Lucy Catholic Church, 3510 South Ocean Blvd., Highland Beach, FL 33487.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Uncle Jerry, every memory I have with you is filled with smiles and laughter. There was never a dull moment with you and although they are not as many I would have liked, I cherish them tremendously. I know you shaped a lot of my sense of humor. I learned in a short trip to Florida how to make light out of life and how to laugh at ourselves. I know my Dad looked up to you so much. I hope you guys have reunited. I’m blessed that you shared some great stories about my Dad that I never knew. I love you and will miss you till we meet again.
