He is a US Navy veteran who retired from the food service industry in the 90's to enjoy the warm weather of Florida. He is survived by two sons and three grandchildren.

Jerry was my cousin. We used to see him and his mother and sisters from time to time when they lived nearby in Indiana. We enjoyed growing together during our adolescent and teen years. Our favorite times were when all the families would converge at our grandmothers house in Russell Springs, Kentucky. He, and I, would sneak off to go fishing in a nearby pond. Never caught a single fish. We would also walk down the country gravel roads to sneak into the horse race track and sell snow cones for 15 cents and we got a nickel for each one. When we got enough nickels we would head over to the fairgrounds to spend our "fortunes"! Out of nickels we would go back to selling snow cones. We would also go horse back riding on our great uncles plow horses all over the hills and valleys of his farm. When the horses had enough of our craziness they would run us under low tree limbs to knock us off then they would head for the barn leaving us to walk a mile or so back. But, we sure had some fun times. We used to stay in touch by text messaging but he eventually stopped communicating. I had not seen, or spoken to Jerry in the last 20 years or so, having lost his address and phone number. I am saddened that he passed away. I would have liked to reminisce our childhood adventures with him just one more time. Rest in peace cousin. Roger Kimble.

I got to travel from Indianapolis to San Francisco with my big brother, sister, sister in law and brother in law. Being the little sister squashed between four large adults in a station wagon for several days was quite an adventure. I heard many funny stories and I did get to see the salt flats just after it had rained. The photo is one of my brother and sister at Christmas
