In the year 19 92 on Labor Day, Gerald and Cilia took my family and I on a trip to walk the Mackinac Bridge. We left at 4:00 a.m. and drove in their motorhome on the high speed freeways to the bridge. We had a wonderful walk on the bridge in the waning summer sunlight. On the way back home We took many scenic Coastal highways bordering the picturesque Lake Michigan. They let my father Drive the motor home for a bit. It didn't last long. They said it was like Jehu driving. I have many fond memories of mowing their grass, eating summer suppers at their home, and devouring their books (including the mythical Greek Fables in their basement). May God grant the family the peace that passes all understanding.
