Gerald Gogan

I had the pleasure of helping Jerry when he was sick. He was a great man, and caring for him was so easy, because he made work enjoyable. He was always so happy, and willing to tell you stories about the jobs he used to do. I miss him dearly, and think of him often.

We were saddened to learn of the passing of Jerry, but grateful for his service to our nation with the Peace Corps in Chile.

Jerry, from far away but deep from our heart we say you good bye in your last journey. With me are my family and unknown farmers in Chile that you helped while serving here as a Peace Corp. We will not forget your friendship and good will spirit, always ready to give a hand to those in need. We will miss you, but it is our Lord who has called you into His eternal love and peace. Nancy, Kerry and Kevin, receive our feelings of sorry and condolences for Jerry departure, and be sure we will keep him in our prayers.

I am saddened to hear of Jerry's passing. I worked with Jerry, Gary, Cuppy and Dan Stiffler for several years at Farmland before moving to Feed division and he was a wealth of information and inspirational for a young person just starting their career in agriculture. Brings back so many fond memories of talks we had.
The world is a much darker place without the light Jerry gave. My prayers and sympathy to the family.

Jerry (and Nancy) made a wonderful life and home for their children. It meant so much to have a safe place to go and hang out, and just be kids. Much love for you all!

Our condolences to the Gogan family. I worked with Jerry in E. Iowa while he was with ISU extension, then we both went to work for Farmland Industries in 1980. Many years of collaborative endeavors in crop protection, information and technology. His work is alive and active today in the Winfield United Crop Protection Guide. His love and devotion for agriculture will be greatly missed!

As you know, Jerry and I worked together for many years. He was a top-notch agronomist with in-depth knowledge of a wide array of subjects. He was of high integrity, respected by all those who interacted with him. He was also a good friend.

Jerry was a great personal friend for more than 63 years. He was very kind, intelligent and well liked by his high school classmates. He will be missed by all that knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy, Kerri, Kevin and grandchildren.

We have all the respect in the world for one of the finest men in the world. What an example for his children and grandchildren. I am sure they will hold special memories of him even the younger boys. We have a special place in our hearts reserved just for Jerry. How we all will miss him. M family all loved him so much too.
