Jazzo told me about the old shoe polish on the phone receiver trick. Never tried it, but I respected the thought. RIP Uncle Gerald. A Firefighter's firefighter.

Jazz was a very good friend of my Dads (Muggsy) and they worked together at Pine St.
Heard some really funny stories over the years and even as they got older they still made you laugh.
RIP Jazz and say Hello to my Mom and Dad for me!

Best hot chocolate I ever tasted was at an all-night fire on Union St. when Uncle Jazz showed up off duty with the Comfort Wagon. When I got on the job, I would ask everybody "hey do you know Gerry Gordon?" (they all did) I would proudly brag "he's my Uncle!!" Always there if you needed him.
