Gerald Langlois Obituary
Gerald "Gerry" E. Langlois, 78, died suddenly following heart complications on February 7th at his home in North Hatley, in the company of his beloved wife of 35 years, Marielle Desjardins. Gerry is survived by his daughter Veronique (Oliver) Langlois Kinsey, son Jordan (Rhiannon) Langlois, brother Henry (Madeleine) Langlois, sister Joan (Alf) Dinwoodie, his grandchildren Audrey and Fletcher Kinsey and his canine companion, Jackson. He will be missed dearly by all. A celebration of life service and reception will be held from 3-6pm on February 15th at Belvedere Funeral Complex, 22025 Trans Canada Hwy, Senneville, QC. Friends and family may call from 1-3pm. The family thanks the Ottawa Heart Institute who gave him many more wonderful years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation: 40 Ruskin Street, Room H-2408, Ottawa, Ontario K1Y 4W7, by phone call 613-761-4790 or online: foundation.ottawaheart.ca

Say it isn't so! Gerry passed away. I thought he would live forever. We were close buddies both in and out of class during our years at Rosemount High. Gerry had it all. He excelled in academics, sports, and the women were constantly chasing him. His friendship was treasured and remembered even to this day, It was only a few months ago, when speaking with a mutual friend, we relived some of stories regarding pranks Gerry he was associated with.

I have just learned of Gerry's death.Please accept my condolences."Kool Jer" and I played football together at Queen's and we often ran back kicks together. Jer dubbed us "The Golddust Twins".I have a couple of old pix from football and could send them along should you wish.

My deepest condolences to you on the passing of Jerry. I can only guess how much you will miss him. Veronique and Jordan, I hope that your children had the time for some relationship with their quirky but fiercely loyal grandfather. There are few days that go by when I don't have resort to some of the professional guidance I learned from my years practicing with him. I think of him and smile and hope that with the passage of time you will remember him with smiles as well.
