Gerald T. Lusk

Gerald T. Lusk, 81, a resident of Dover, died Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born January 21, 1925, in Oklahoma to Benjamin Harrison and Clara Mae Stephen Lusk. He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II and was a life member of the V. F. W. Rogers-Rye Post 2283 and the Cooties. He was a farmer and a hard worker. He loved dancing and could be found with his wife every Saturday night at the V. F. W. dancing. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronnie Lusk; two brothers, Troy and Jerry Lusk; and two sisters, Betty Talent and Dora Woodfin. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Eunice Lusk of Dover; a son and daughter-in-law, Pete and Willene Lusk of Dover; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and David Hiner of Durango, Colorado, Janice Sims of Cordyon, Indiana, and Chyral and Robert Sims of London; two brothers, Robert and Earl Lusk, both of Hector; two sisters, Floy Baxter of Dover and Francis Thompson of Hector; eight grandchildren, Christine Hiner, Valery Passmore, Alex Kindell, Angelia Paylor, David Lusk, Larry Collins, Nicholle Sims, and Roxie Sims; six great grandchildren, Karissa and Andrew Passmore, Caden Kindell, and Talia Paylor; and other relatives and friends. A private memorial service will be held at a later date on Mr. Lusk's beloved farm. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
