Dear Sister Melchin and Family, sorry to hear about the passing of Elder Melchin. He was a Kind, Gentile, Great and Noble man who was loved by all. Growing up as my Stake President, he had a great impact on my life. I loved him so dearly! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of your loss.

Dear Evelyn and family. We have been talking about Gerald's passing and feel happy when we think of the sweetness of his nature and smile. We became friends when you first came to Calgary so many years ago, I, Bernice, remember the many miles we travelled together when we were performing Evelyn. Gerald loved your beautiful voice and was always there to accompany us. Wonderful memories. We love you Evelyn and your precious family.

As a young man I worked for Howard, Gerald and Winston Shaw. Over my few years of employment I came to learn to appreciate and love the Melchin family,
working also with Ron and Barry. My world and that of many others is a much better place because of Bishop Howard Melchin and Elder Gerald Melchin.

I'm sure Winston Shaw was there to greet him with open arms! Gerald has been on my mind recently recalling the kindness he extended to me following Winston's passing. He was a kind and gentle soul, a friend to all. Condolences to each family member.

One of the greatest men I have be blessed to know. I loved his mother dearly and I know he lived the kind of life that would make her so proud.
