In 1977, Gerry was our Electrotech math teacher at Vanier College. He told us a few stories from his days at Michigan State University and made the class a fun place to be. We thought it was cool that he drove his motorcycle to school. He motivated me, and I am sure others, to advance their education. I am sorry I never got to thank him for giving so much to us all. I have lost two brothers and know how much it hurts to lose special people.

Though I haven't seen my brother for many years due to health limitations, he was the person I called for a great intelligent conversation and to ask advice. He was so kind and wise, much as his father was. I will miss him very much

tho we weren't blood related. we we're family. you'll always be my uncle gerry, and i'll forever remember your home made root beer & the shark tooth you gave me 20+ years ago, which still lives in my jewel box. You thought me fascinating things...not just math.
i'll never forget you.

I will always remember Gerry as my favourite professor during my years at Vanier College in the 70's who's passion for Calculus was infectious. I was very sad to hear of his passing at such a young age.

Thousands of students benefitted from Gerry's teaching of mathematics for 35 years...especially those of the Electronology Programme. We have lost an excellent teacher and friend.
