On behalf of the Communications Security Establishment Retirees' Association, please accept our sincere condolences on Gerry's passing. I remember Gerry very well from the old navy days. He was important as role model and mentor to all of the junior ratings that went through HMCS Gloucester. He was ever the gentleman. His name will be added to the CSE Retirees' memorial list.

To Verna, Richard, Deborah, Family Members and Friends,
I regret the delay in relaying this message, however, we just received the sad news. CPO1 (ret'd) Gerald Pinard was a life-member of the Supplementary Radio (SUPRAD) System Oldtimers Association. The members of our Association were saddened by the news of Gerald's passing on the 10th of August. There are still some of our Association's more senior members who still fondly remember Gerry from his service, from 1937-1959, in the Royal Canadian Navy. We will remember him at our next get together at Canadian Forces Station Leitrim, 7 October 2014. Please know, that as your extended military family, we will hold you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
