Sister Geraldine taught me at St. Rose's School in Longview, Washington. In 1952 I was in her kindergarden class - being delighted with what I though her name was - "Sister Jellybean". One of my older brothers told me that and I thought it was the best name for a teacher. I think I used the name the entire year, and she let me. She taught me again in 3rd grade - by that time I got her name right.

To a young child all teachers are old. Now looking back I realize that she would have been in her early 30s. Our class was quite large according to today's standards, but Sister Geraldine handled us with grace, discipline and dignity.

I may not have thought of my grade school teachers for a long time, but seeing her obituary brought back many school memories. I was surprised I could remember the name of each Sister of St. Joseph of Peace who were my teachers at St. Rose. All have given so much.

Thank you to Sister Geraldine and each CSJP Sister who were a part of my family's life.

I have many happy memories of our years together teaching at St. Genevieve School, Van Nuys, CA and keeping in touch via our Christmas letters each year. She will remain in my thoughts and prayers always. Helen O'Brien

Sister Geraldine was kind and patient. As a care provider for our two your children she brought a level of calm to our busy houshold. I will aways be grateful for her influence and contribution to our family. She was truly a blessing.

For several years Sister Geraldine provided child-care for my brother and I while our parents were at work. She was a caring woman and her peaceful mission in life has affected me personally and I know she has left a positive impact on my family. She will be in my prayers.
