Geraldine Jaffe, 86, of Manhattan Beach, CA, passed away on February 23, 2025.

Geraldine was born on August 12, 1938, to Walter and Lillian Meyer in Pennsylvania.

After graduating high school, she started her first job at Pacific Bell as a telephone operator.

In 1960, Geraldine met Brian Jaffe at the Alondra Club in Torrance. He was a singer and bass player in a dinner band that was playing that night. Geraldine and Brian married in 1961 and went on to have two children, Brenda and Brent.

She worked for the Redondo Beach High School District for 10 years as an instructional aid for the special ed department at Aviation and Redondo Beach High schools. After Geraldine retired, she spent her time painting, leading Bible Studies, and being active in her local church, Trinity Lutheran Church in Manhattan Beach. She served in the church's alter guild for over 30 years. Geraldine donated significantly to over 30 charities every year including children's hospitals, veterans, hunger, American Indian schools, and two churches.

Geraldine was predeceased by her parents, her brother David Meyer, and the love her life, Brian. She is survived by her siblings Melvin Pusatier and Julaine Valentin, her children Brenda Jaffe and Brent Jaffe, Daughter in Law Ayreen Jaffe, her grandchildren: Jay Yeager III, Lily Yeager, Adam Jaffe and her great grandchild, Adeline Riley who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's, an organization Geraldine felt strongly about.
