I'll never forget one summer afternoon-it was probably 1966, or so. I was out riding my bike and I saw Mr. Denault painting a house in my Middletown neighborhood. I couldn't believe it. Here was a guy I thought was the best teacher in the world, and the smartest man I'd ever met, and who just HAD to be a millionaire, and he was painting houses. That night I asked my parents about it, and they told me teachers weren't paid anywhere near what they were worth and I learned a very, very valuable lesson. Mr. Denault was so passionate about teaching, that he was a true gift to anyone fortunate enough to be his student. I thank his family for sharing this extraordinary man with his thousands of students.

Mr. Denault was the best teacher that anyone could ask for. I was a student at Wilson Middle School. All us kids loved Mr. Denault so much ~ always with a beautiful smile with such excitement in his eyes, such wonderful memories of Mr. Denault. He use to tutor me at my home on Ridge Rd/Middletown. My parents enjoyed his company as well. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Sending my deepest sympathy.
Sincerely,

Although it has been more than thirty years since I saw Jerry and Lorraine I always remember what incredibly nice people they were. Jerry
had a sense of humor you could not forget. My deepest sympathy goes out to Karen, Paula, Lori and Lisa along with the rest of the family. You had truly wonderful parents. Tom McMellon ,South Glastonbury

My favorite teacher, When my kids were old enough to go to Wilson Middle School, he had just retired the year before. I always remembered him and respected him may he rest in peace. Julia (Lemieux) Murray, (Seneca, PA).
