Dad, who's going to make me brisket?...nobody does it like you do!! I swear, it felt like I went grocery shopping after leaving your house sometimes. Your giving heart and always making sure we had everything we needed and some things you just wanted to get out of the house...haha I loved your funny jokes and how you never took yourself or situations so seriously...we could all learn from you. I'm thankful for how close we got the last several years...I needed that and will always cherish those moments. I'm so proud of you daddy and to hear of all the lives you touched by being such a loyal friend to so many. I promise to watch over mom and our family and try to always make you proud. The halls of USAA will never be the same. As many have already stated, you could see his smile a building away, hear his voice from afar and count on your hug and kiss. I will never forget the fond memories of Gerry. He was one of the most fun and kindest people to be around. He was able to effortlessly make everyone else have a good time when he was around. It will be hard to hear about any future USAA Special Events without thinking of Gerry because he was always known as "The Man" for special events.

If I needed to get something done, I would call Gerry. If I needed to find out what was going on, I would call on Gerry. If I needed a friendly face and a pat on the back, I would call on Gerry. He was an extremely hard worker, a loyal friend, and, above all, a gentleman. My heart is forever heavy in suffering this loss. Words cannot express the immense shock to hear of Jerry's passing. He truly was a man that loved his wife, took pride in his children, and relished in speaking of his grandchildren.

I am the manager at TreusDell Salon on Huebner Rd. I have known Darrell for about 4 years now and he talks so highly of his family and heard so many great stories about Mr. Dover, even though I didn't ever get to meet him personally he sounded like an awesome man... so it is so sad to hear about your family's loss.
