O'NEILL O'Neill, Gerard F., 67, formerly of Pembroke Pines, FL died on Tuesday, May 14, 2002 in Sherborn, MA after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Gerard grew up in Queens. Gerard was a flight dispatcher for Eastern Airlines for over 35 years retiring in 1990. Gerard was a loving husband and father and family man. He also enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia A. (Lee) O'Neill; loving father of Jeannine M. and her husband Jeff Phillips of Sherborn, MA, and Donald C. and his wife Danielle O'Neill of Lighthouse Point, FL. Gerard was also the dear grandfather of Julia Catherine Phillips. Relatives and friends are kindly invited for visiting hours on Friday morning from 9 - 10:30 AM at FRED HUNTER'S FUNERAL HOME, 718 S. Federal Highway followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Coleman's Catholic Church, 1200 South Federal Hwy. Pompano Beach at 11:00 AM. Interment in Lauderdale Memorial Park. Memorials may be designated to: Jack & Jill's Childrens Center, 812 S.W. 2nd St., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33301 or Humane Society of Broward County, 2070 Griffin Rd., Ft. Laud., FL 33312.

We thought the world of Jerry. He had such a positive attitude throughout his illness. He also had the most loving family a person could ask for. We will miss him immensely. (Who will we send Whitman's chocolates to, now)?
