Thommes, age 95, of Hoffman Estates and formerly of Morton Grove, IL, and Spring Hill, FL; beloved husband of the late Dolores and the late Alice; loving father of Patricia (James) Schuster, Jerry (Judith) Thommes, Ginny (Kurt) Elrich; and step father of Bonnie (Morgan) Davis and Elaine Olson; loving grandfather of Tony (Claudine) Cutrona, Tarah and Jessica Thommes, Sean O'Rourke, Tammy(Dimitri)Leventis, Mark(Fredrica)Genthe, Sherry(Roger) Grinnip, David Genthe and Joe'l (Jeremy)Metroz; and great-grandfather of Gina and T.J. Cutrona; loving son of the late Hannah and Anthony Thommes; dear brother of Josephine Stimek. Mr. Thommes was a Teamster and was born on Oct. 29, 1914, in Chicago and passed away on Jan. 16, 2010, in Hoffman Estates. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of prayers at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services , 330 W. Golf Rd., Schaumburg. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Hubert Church, 729 Grand Canyon Parkway, Hoffman Estates. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. Funeral info.,847-882-5580.
