Dear Breanna & Terran:
This little note is special to you. Why it had to be your daddy, I don't know. For now it is OK to cry. But, there will come a time you will laugh when you remember the fun things, and the silly things, the hugs and the prayers. When you share these memories you can and will learn how to keep your dad close to your heart. You will always remember how special your daddy really is.

I said a little prayer for you all today, and sometimes the smallest things can help make a big difference.

God is able to do more than we can think to ask or imagine. Don't forget to ask Him to help.

Carrie: We are not here by chance, but by God's choice. He made us all - One of a kind and I believe that true for Gerard.

Gerard is my cousin, and he looks just as I remember.

I share with tears - what a tremendous loss, and though our tomorrows seem too difficult -- Take comfort in all the words we attempt to bring to you in love and care.

Our memories we will always have.

Though these words fall short and can't replace his touch or hug, I just want you to know I care and in prayer will help you silently as you walk through this part of your life's journey.

May your close friends and family bring healing in time by sharing their memories and filling to some degree the unmeasurable void.

To Uncle Roman and Aunt Rita, Cousins Barry and Byron: As Gerard's parents, and brothers, I can't help but think your biggest question 'why' will never seem resolved. It is evident Gerard grew up to be an amazing man of integrity.

Each sorrow is unique and no one can truly know the depth of your pain. I share - with tears - your loss and realize how difficult it seems to take comfort in the words - I'm sorry. I hope God's presence is felt as friends and family hold you up in prayer during this difficult journey.

May Grace lead you to strength and peace day by day.

For all in your family - I pray God increase your memories (and as his parents and brothers you have memories of his younger years that no one else has) and you are able to share with Gerard's wife and children how special he is. I also pray you take great joy in seeing and recognizing parts of Gerard live on in his children.

As long as we can remember and share he will remain close to our heart.
