Yesterday
Jerry was working at the Elk Grove Village Public Library when h got my first job as a page. Jerry was always a pleasure to be around and my dad who did some side work back in the day at the library thought highly of Jerry. What a kind sole who cared about others...went to school with his daughter who he truly cherished. R.I.P. my friend...maple lane will truly miss your presence...

Jerry was a warm and gentle soul and was always happy to help me at BP at 4am, making the coffee for the day, restocking the cups and lids. He was a hardworking man even while retired which was admirable to me. I will never forget the wonderful company he gave me and his thoughtful gestures. He knew I loved to cook and brought me some of his barely used pots that I still have and use regularly. He knew I loved to ride my bike and brought me a Bluetooth speaker for me to enjoy because he didn´t use it. His thoughtfulness, great work ethic and genuine warmth are great examples for humanity. I´m grateful to have met him and he will be missed. Thank you Jerry for all your help!

Had a wonderful time for years sitting with Jerry every weekday early morning having coffee and chatting about everything and anything...My jokes often cheered him up..once in awhile I would go visit him and sit and chat on the porch in the chairs I had got for him..I loved that he would always bring a little gift for my wife for her birthday or mother's day..and she would make goodies for him here and there...He will be missed dearly by us..

To my dearest father, I offer my eternal love and express my deepest gratitude for everything. I cherish the memories of your unwavering support, your courageous acts of heroism, and the steadfast presence you always provided in my life. Together with Mother, you were my constant source of comfort and wise guidance, always there to help me through thick and thin. You were truly an exceptional father, and I am eternally thankful for all the valuable lessons you taught me, from practical skills like car maintenance and home care to the art of nurturing plants and trees. Your positive influence has shaped me into the strong and independent person I am today. May you now rest peacefully, dear father, knowing that you were loved immensely. The world will undoubtedly never be the same without your kind heart and gentle soul. I eagerly look forward to the day when I can reunite with you and Mother in heaven. Until we meet again, know that you are forever in my heart. With unending love, your loving daughter, Lynn

I loved Gerry he was an absolute great guy!! First being introduced to him at the jewels made my heart become so attached as he always came into the jewel-osco with a huge smile on his face and had eager energy to get some donuts every Sunday.
It's sad to see him go so soon as he felt like a grandpa type of guy to me
Always know Jerry that jewels is waiting to begin serving you once again it's never non stop.
I'm so sorry for your loss though
My condolences to the whole family
