I have many wonderful memories of Gerhardt visiting Herb and Ruby in Arlington (my grandparent's), he was a kind and gentle man and I enjoyed his sense of humor!
I know that your own memories will bring you comfort during this difficult time.

Cousin Beverly Moorman notified us of Gerhardt's death via e-mail. I remember he, Esther and family members were so kind to come to my mom's (Irene Balle, Ruby's sister) visitation 2 years ago in St. Peter. I always noticed his "dancing eyes" that expressed such joy. What a wonderful family he had!

You and your family are in our prayers. Cody and I enjoyed seeing Gerhardt in the meat market everyday! He was a joy and will be missed. In his own words, "Yup, yup!"
