Sorry to see that you left us. I do have many fond memories of you and the Jets. I remember walking with you after practice at Tolman, and when we all went to Kips you continued on your way to weigh lift at the gym. Our head coach,Gig Pariseau, gave you a solid base.

Rest in peace! Your high school teammate, Steve Gajdalo.

I did not know Gerry personally, but as kid groing up in NY I watched him religiously. As a DE in college I endeavored to emulate his pass rushing style. Gerry like a lot of his teammates were REAL MEN who played with PAIN and succeeded. RIP Gerry from one of your best fans!!!

Gerry and my cousin Dennis both grew up together in Pawtucket, RI and were very close. Gerry went to Tolman HS and Dennis went to Saint Raphels and the schools were big rivals. Gerry(Tolman) and Dennis (St Rays), they played the same position in football and although bitter high school rivals remained friends which I always found fascinating. I met Gerry when I was 12 or 13, it was a big thrill to meet an NFL player, and even though we were Patriot fans we were rooting for the Jets in Super Bowl III. Gerry was so friendly to everyone and so down to earth, even as a star player. RIP Gerry.
