GERTRUDE BOWSER Obituary

GERTRUDE M. BOWSER, 78, passed away on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Asher, Okla., she worked as a clerk with Summit Bank for 20 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church and Buck & Does Square Dance Club. Surviving are her husband, Lewis R. Bowser of Fort Wayne; sons, Dennis (Michelle) Bowser of Keller, Texas and Dale (Velvet) Bowser of Akron, Ind.; seven grandchildren; brother, Walter Holloway; sister, Clare Hanthorne of Fort Wayne; and daughter-in-law, Sheri Manella of New Haven. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter S. and Myrtle I. Holloway; sisters, Jessie Bowers, Bettie Maihlan, Patti Holden, Mildred Bowers, and Thelma Holden; brothers, Roy Holloway and Floyd Sallee. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Steven K. Conner officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church.
