my wife and I drove by the shop on Saturday and just looked at the shop from our car and both felt very saddened looking at the closed stored. Our company had been selling Rasool for over 30 years Halal meat products starting with my father (Roger Cote) we will always miss his many phone calls jurying the day to get products for his valued customers Rasool will be greatly missed and never be forgot.

Rasool, I want to say thank you one last time for all of your kindness and generosity you gave to us during difficult times. You must know how much I enjoyed our conversations, sharing thoughts and insights. One thing that lessens the sadness of your passing is that you are now reunited with your beloved wife. She must have been the first one to greet you with wide open arms and a loving smile like never before. There's not much more I can say than what others have said already. You my friend were and still are one of a kind. Til we meet in Eternity--You are FINALLY ON VACATION!!!♥

Wish there were more people like him. What an extraordinary person. My heart now sinks when I pass by his shop. It just isn't as nice anymore. He played a huge part in our neighborhood. I miss him a lot. Peace.

I am so sad to hear about Mr. Chaudhary's passing. I have been buying meat and cheese and olives from his store for 25 years and he was always kind and helpful.

Very sad to hear of his passing. "Russell" always gave excellent service and the best quality meat as well for decades. He was always happy to see me upon entrance and a quick hello and how can I help you would soon follow. I used to live two houses down from his shop on Gladstone and would occasionally run over to Harvey's on Bronson to get him coffee. He enjoyed such. Anyhow, I will certainly miss him. I am so sad to hear this. I have been buying meat from him for last 16 years. So far the best goat meat in town. We will miss him and his service.

We are so deeply saddened on hearing of the passing of Rasool. We have been regular customers for over 39 years starting when he had his store in Vanier. Our memories of Rasool will be cherished forever. He was very gracious and caring about his customers and his absence will be felt by so many people in the community.

I feel sick. What a wonderful man. I had been going to his store for decades and often looked forward more to our interactions than procuring the greek dairy products with which I have an unheathy relationship. In fact, I was never sure if I would leave the store with feta or not because he always was looking out for me. 'Wait a minute', he would say, 'weren't you here 4 days ago?? not healthy for you ... come back next week'. Good bye old friend ... I will deeply miss you.

This is very sad news. Mr. Chaudhary was always so kind and engaging. We spoke many times about his life prior to opening the store. He will be very much missed. Please accept our deepest condolences.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Mr. Chaudhary - a wonderful wonderful man. I was a regular customer at his store - always for his stewing beef - when I got laid off he hugged me and told me to come and talk to him any time I wanted to - a truly wonderful man and will be missed terribly. My sincere condolences to his beloved family and friends.

What a sad story to hear that you are gone, Rasool, you were a family of the Ethiopia Communit in Ottawa. You cattered Enjera, Ethiopian kitfo meat, and of course Teff flour the main staples in all Ethiopian house holds. Your gracious hospitality and amazing service was well appreciated, and will be missed for a long time. Our heartfelt condolences to the family, and may your soul rest in peace in heaven. RIP. I'm so sad this brought tears when I learned today you passed. I had four years of amazing service shopping at Olympia. It was so nice to have the best right behind my home. He always was there it was his home from home I bought so much from him he knew me by my voice on the phone if I called he knew it was me with a nice greeting good day tammy you want $20 beef he'd tell me 2 hrs I'd say no I need it soon so he say ok 45 min lol such a nice man I'm so sorry for his family's loss. Great man and always heart breaking to hear of a loss of a family member or good friend. He was nice to everyone. I can't believe this is true I'm in shock I just seen him A wk ago. Now every time I walk to Olympia I have such a sadness come over me. Really truly a good man. I pray for strength and comfort for his family. Pray for peace in their hearts. and always remember god has him he's your angel now and will forever live in your hearts. R.I.P My heart will always remember all the great service with you.
