Gilbert Aguilar, born on September 22, 1981, in San Jose, California, passed away on June 16, 2024, in Elk Grove, California, at the age of 42. Gilbert graduated from Elk Grove High and pursued higher education at Santa Clara University. He devoted 22 years of his career as a Clerk 2 at Cosumnes River College.

Known for his warm and kindhearted nature, Gilbert's laughter and generosity brought light and comfort to those around him. He deeply valued his relationships, evident from the cherished family photos displayed in his home. A committed father, husband, son, and brother, Gilbert's nurturing spirit touched many lives.

Gilbert's hobbies included collecting comic books and Funko Pop figures, as well as restoring low rider bikes, activities that brought him immense joy and satisfaction.

He was an active member of Saint Joseph's Parish in Elk Grove, where he participated in various community activities.

Gilbert is survived by his wife, Alicia Aguilar; daughters, Katheryne and Kylley Aguilar; mother, Irma Aguilar; and brother, Matt Aguilar. He was preceded in death by his son, Logan Aguilar.

Services to honor Gilbert's life will be held as follows: Viewing on July 25th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at South East Lawn Memorial Park, 9189 E Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove. A Mass will be held on July 26th at 11:00 am at Saint Joseph Parish Catholic Church, 9961 Elk Grove Florin Rd, Elk Grove, followed by a gathering at Elk Grove Park, 9950 Elk Grove Florin Rd, Elk Grove, CA 95624. A 9-day Novena will be observed from July 29, 2024, to August 6, 2024.

South East Lawn Memorial Park in Elk Grove, CA, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
