Gilbert William "Gil" Ward

Gil joined our Tues/Fri golf group at The Gallery in Tucson at the age of 90, making him the oldest in our group of 50+ golfers. He promptly injected his "youthful" enthusiasm by making 2 suggestions: 1) Since we wore red in honor of our patriots on Fridays, why did we not wear blue on Tuesdays in honor of our 1st responders!? 2) Why did we not have an annual party, including wives! He immediately set up the first such party and MC'd it. He also to the last held his own on the golf course - usually contributing points to our twice-weekly friendly games! We'll miss his humor and sly smile.
